Terms of Service

Last updated: [publication date]

These terms govern your use of CleanCV. Using the service means you accept them. If you do not, please do not use it.

What the service is

CleanCV lets you build a résumé, run an ATS readability check, and — after a one-time payment — download it as a PDF or Word file. Building and the ATS check work without an account and without payment.

Your account

You need an account only to save work and to buy. You are responsible for keeping access to the email address you sign in with. Give us an address you control.

Payment

Purchases are one-time. There is no subscription and no automatic renewal. The price is shown before you buy. Payments are processed by Stripe. [Applicable taxes are added at checkout / handled by Stripe Tax — confirm before launch.]

Refunds

See our refund policy. In short: ask and you get one, and the refund switches the paid access back off.

Your content is yours

You keep all rights to the résumés and profile you create. You grant us only the limited permission needed to store and process that content so we can provide the service to you. We do not use it for anything else. See our Privacy Policy.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service for anything unlawful, and do not attempt to disrupt it, break its limits, or access other people's data. We may suspend accounts that do.

Our intellectual property

The software, the templates, and the CleanCV name and marks are ours. Downloading a résumé does not transfer any rights to the template or the software behind it.

No guarantees

The service is provided as is. The ATS check is informational — it shows what a common parser reads, not a score, and it is not a promise of any hiring outcome. We do not guarantee interviews or jobs.

Liability

[To the extent permitted by law, and subject to your statutory consumer rights, our liability is limited as set out here — complete with your lawyer for your jurisdiction.]

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the current version lives here. These terms are governed by the law of [jurisdiction], without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence. Questions: [contact email].
